Cloford Quarry near Holwell is a site of special geological interest due to the abundance of Triassic and Jurassic age sedimentary rock, not commonly found in such a large quantity and excellent at preserving the shells of molluscs and other small aquatic creatures.

Smardale Gill quarry, near Smardale, Cumbria, also is a designated site of special geological interest for a similar reason.

I've done this one before on this game -- but, some four years ago -- "recycling", I feel, permitted. In the long-beloved and long-classic-classed, Goon Show: Eccles was a prominent character. Less-prominent ones, were Minnie Bannister and her -- "other half?" -- Henry Crun. Minnie shares part of her name with the settlement Bannister Green, Essex -- between Great Dunmow and Braintree.
