Airdrie is the birthplace and home town of sea shanty singer Nathan Evans, who found fame in 2020 with his recording of 'The Wellerman'. His first live concert later that year took place on a boat on the River Thames at Canary Wharf in East London.

Canary Wharf was so named because it served vessels trading with the Canary Islands in the early twentieth century. This trade - mainly imports of bananas and other fruit - had been largely initiated by businessman and shipowner Sir Alfred Lewis Jones, born 1845 in Carmarthen.

Dublin is also associated in common parlance, with a variety of edible crustacean suffixed by the bay pertaining to the settlement -- shrimps and prawns respectively -- though Morecambe Bay's creature is the straightforward brown shrimp; whereas Dublin Bay prawns, a colloquial name for langoustines / scampi.

St. Mary's Church, Pollagh: has stained-glass windows designed by the Harry Clarke studios -- the same, "from and via" the Irish stained-glass artist and book illustrator Harry Clarke (1889 -- 1931); who lived for a while between the World Wars, in the north Dublin suburb of Cabra.

The church of Saints Peter and Paul in Bardfield Saling is one of six round-towered churches in Essex. Another is St Nicholas of Myra, in South Ockendon.

Blackley is very close to M62 Junction 24, although the junction is officially called "Ainley Top". Similarly close to M25 junction 24 is the village of South Mimms, Hertfordshire, the junction being officially called "Potters Bar".
