Derby was also one of the Five Boroughs of the Danelaw.
Medieval Harringworth belonged to the de Cantilupe family; Millicent de Cantilupe (Milly Melons to her chums), sister of the last male Cantilupe lord of the manor, married Eudo de la Zouche, who was from a different branch of Zouches to the ones who owned Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
Many years ago, I was told that Irish townlands had as much right to be used as posting submissions as UK hamlets on this particular quiz.Tircavan would appear to be an example of that Irish thing the "townland" -- not really a settlement as such, just a metaphorical couple of, probably, farmhouses: administratively linked to somewhere bigger nearby. There is a townland with the same "Tir-" prefix (Irish for "territory", Google tells me) called Tirmoghan Common: in Co. Kildare; but the geographically nearest "proper" settlement to it, is Enfield, Co. Meath.

Mullingar in County Westmeath also lies on the line of the Royal Canal.
