St Martin's Church, Waithe is a redundant Anglican Church. It originates from the 10th century, with additions and alterations carried out in the 11th and 13th centuries, and was restored in 1861 by James Fowler of Louth for the Haigh family, the local landowners. In 1866 (or 1869, records vary), James Fowler designed the Allenby Almshouses in Fotherby, built for the benefit of six poor people on the site of an older Glebe house.
