I think you are mixing up Hollinwood, Oldham (OL8) with Hollinwood, Shropshire (SY13) - Salcombe being TQ8. (And neither Hollinwood is on the south coast)Salcombe is also in the 8th postcode district of a south coast postcode area
For the casual observer, there does not seem to be a lot of interest in Hollinwood, Salop.Holdenhurst's name is reckoned to come from Old English holegn = holly, and hyrst = grove / wood -- wood where holly grows. Further north, "hollin" is an old word for holly; thus a parallel in Shropshire: Hollinwood near Whitchurch.
Aston Clinton has the Bell Inn as does Brook New Forest
Brook (Hants.) is along the course of the River Test, a 40-mile stream passing wholly through Hampshire, with its source at the village of Ashe.
