The Cleveland Bridge & Engineering Company was responsible for both the King Edward VII Bridge, linking Newcastle and Gateshead, and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge across the Thames between Dartford and Thurrock.
King Henry VI, after being deposed for the second time by Edward IV, was murdered in the Tower of London and his body buried at Chertsey Abbey in 1471. In 1484 his remains were removed to St George's Chapel at the castle in Windsor.
