The church of St Editha, Tamworth is the largest medieval parish church in Staffordshire. It was extensively restored by Benjamin Ferrey and George Gilbert Scott in the 1850s. The former was also responsible, with John Pritchard, for the parish church of St Teilo, Merthyr Mawr, which was built between 1849 and 1851.
