The village of Dymock in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire was also once served by the now closed Hereford & Gloucester Canal.
The Settlement Association Quiz!
This works in exactly the same manner as the Station Association Quiz, only this thread concentrates on the thousands of inhabited locales throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland instead of their railway stations. As such, a small request has been made in the Station Association Quiz to keep everything in that thread railway-related from here on.
----------------------------------
Rules of the quiz
- Settlements may be anywhere in the United Kingdom.
- A description of the association should be incorporated in each posting, without simply posting the name only.
The parish of Lezayre in the Isle of Man is also the location of a Gliding Club.
Noting what is said above, is any settlement in the Isle of Man allowable?
Another coach hire company whose name is a pun is headquartered in Hawkinge
GENERAL INFORMATION
Ivo, the quiz setter, has not been active on this website for some years now, so if any requests for changes to the rules of this quiz as currently existing are requested, can I ask that any such request be made in a PM to any of the four accredited forum quizmasters for their consideration.
Who are the four accredited forum quizmasters, please?
The village of Old Laund Booth is also a civil parish in the Pendle district of Lancashire.
They are shown at the foot of the index page of the Quizzes and Games forum page....
