Aberdeen is well known for having buildings built of granite rock: moving further south, Cirencester is another town built of a local rock; this time the honey-coloured Cotswold stone
Telford is served by the M54, which is a predominantly D2M road (dual-carriageway, 2 lane, motorway). A similar road is the M65, which serves the similarly sized town of Blackburn.
Although "Silk Town" seems to be its preferred nickname Macclesfield's traditional nickname is "Treacle Town" supposedly from an incident when a load of treacle was spilt on Hibel Road, and the poor scooped it off the cobbles. However, this term is more widely associated with Nuneaton.
