The late [and much lamented] broadcaster John Peel was educated at Shrewsbury School. He later moved to Peel Acres in Great Finsborough, Suffolk, and is buried in the parish churchyard.

Wigan has been made famous by George Orwell's Road to Wigan Pier.
Orwell is buried in Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire.

As you all no doubt know, March's Parish Church is dedicated to St Wendreda [the only known dedication].
But you must have heard of her sister, St Sexburgha - she was abbess at Minster-in-Sheppey.

Wellington (as in Shropshire) is also the name of a major city in New Zealand
