Hi all,
I have received an out of court settlement offer from Southeastern just days after my first letter offering my explanation was received. Note I had not posted my response to the original letter, hence it can be assumed SE have decided on their own accord to offer a settlement.
My question stems from the fact they state “there are 15 journeys totalling £60 after reviewing electronic data”, yet they have added on “costs of £265 involved with the case that needs to be paid”. Does anyone have any thoughts on where this figure may have derived from? I have seen figures of around £150 on these forums - but never a case costs totalling this amount.
To note the only costs I can imagine would be:
- standard admin costs
- costs of revenue protection ‘sting’
- costs of reviewing electronic data
I have purposely divulged limited information here, but thank you for your time all and musings.
