There is no facility to do what you are suggesting southbound from Aberdeen or Inverness.Has anyone ever been able to get on the sleepers from Aberdeen and alight at Stonehaven, or get on at Inverness and alight at Aviemore, just to get haualge on the 73s? I was wondering if this would be allowed of a definateley no no. I would be on a Sprirt of Scotland rover.

The only place where internal Scottish travel is possible is Kingussie to Inverness northbound, and Edinburgh to Fort William in both directions.
Both opportunities see people board and use the seats.

The 73s do sometimes cycle between the routes over the course of a week, but equally they can stay on one route for a while. Covering them on the West Highland Line avoids the need to travel from England to do it.Ahhh that would make sense, didn't think of it that way.
Pretty much full all summer, even the seats.I haven't been able to get one Scottish Sleepers AT ALL this week, as they've all been full!
