I used the 913 and 914 yesterday. The 914 left Fort William fairly quiet, it was 1510 but picked up more as we went South. You usually get day trippers getting on at Luss.

Also on the 914 today (Glasgow up to Crianlarich and back). 08.45 was very quiet up the way.

The bus back (16.42 so ~15.15 ex Fort William) is a bit busier and is indeed picking up more as we go.

I used the 913 last year to get to Fort William, albeit on its last weekend running. I was the only person who made connection from Dundee/Forfar/Aberdeen at Broxden but there were a few changing from other routes (I think M8 Stirling).

The 913 is normally operated by YX67UPE. Used to be Stagecoach East Scotland, Glenrothes based.

I'm trying to travel from Murrayfield to Aberdeen this Sunday (6th August). I would like to use service M92 (https://www.citylink.co.uk/media/u0zdc4jk/edinburgh-airport-perth-aberdeen-web.pdf).
The Megabus website doesn't list either Haymarket or Drum Brae South as stops. The Citylink website does, but if I search for Haymarket to Aberdeen I only get journeys via the 900 and Edinburgh Bus Station and the direct bus isn't listed, and if I search for Drum Brae to Aberdeen I get the direct bus but listed as "Fare not available" (see screenshot image). Does this mean that Citylink has no more tickets left to sell for that service?
The service is bookable via the Megabus website but only from either the Bus Station or the Airport.
Thanks for any help.

This is likely a one off diversion for the UCI Cycling event that takes place in various parts of Edinburgh on Sunday. This includes the closure of Queensferry Road almost in its entirety. Therefore the M92 must be diverting via the A8, M9 and M90 which is why they are selling these from other stops. If you try it for the 7th or even the afternoon of the 6th, it shouldn’t work at all.

It's just listed as a standard M92 on the timetable and on bustimes.org.

That’s interesting, and also an inconsistency. See Megabus’ own website for example and it references the M92A.

Our route M92A bus stops at 4 stops between Edinburgh Airport and Aberdeen. The bus sets off from Airport, Stance G and drops you off at Bus Station.

That might actually be the issue then, as if some think it’s an M92 and Megabus treat it as an M92A then that would probably cause those sorts of problems.

I've noticed this with the M8 as well; some sources refer to the Glasgow - Dundee local service as M8 and others refer to it as M8A.

Yes it's working from Drum Brae for me too. How strange that it works from there but not from Haymarket.

VP is just a code for "via Perth".

I'm sure there was a list posted a few months back. M92 has a fair few journeys operated by others.

Residents say almost 100 inter-city coaches are using a Dundee street daily as a rat run – despite an agreement with the council to stay away.

Citylink and Flixbus services are reportedly using Albert Street to head in and out of the city.

However, according to Dundee City Council they should go via Kingsway East, Greendykes Road and Broughty Ferry Road to completely avoid the Stobswell area.

Seemingly Dundee City Council are the ones telling Citylink to divert around the Kingsway, although evidently not very effectively!

I see how it’s been paraphrased though “rat run”, previously the Citylink/Megabus were using that street before the recent diversion off it. I could understand it being used as a rat run if the operators had not used the street before but come off it now (residents/press).

Just read the diversion route though, if you think about it pushing them further out to go back in the Forfar Road, they may as well just bring the coaches off come in via Fintry Drive or Fountainbleau Drive, Douglas Road then Greendykes (if that was a better solution)

Unrelated but I be surprised if next step they’ll moan about the local services to be diverted off that street.

Sounds like another example of residents moving next to a big A road and then whining about the traffic. They want the world to revolve around them. It's also definitely the buses causing the congestion and not the cars......

Unrelated to this in a way but that street is mostly covered by Xplore Dundee 17, 23, 32, 33 (lower part 22) and Moffats 236 it is a busy street I agree and it’s busy with local traffic including buses listed, as mentioned too I be surprised that will be the next step the buses to be taken off that street to be diverted to Dura Street.

Also to add pushing coaches/buses off certain streets is going to create the same problem elsewhere (but when things like this happens no one cares).

This has been an ongoing thing for years, every so often it raises its head again. I simply just ignored it and kept using the road as at the end of the day the vehicle is legally allowed to be on that road!

I was travelling back from Livingston to Glasgow yesterday and the coach went from Bank Street then turned up right towards and past Coatbridge Sunnyside station, before continuing along Gartsherrie Rd and then left into Blair Rd passing by Blairhill station and back down onto Bank St. I assumed there was roadworks of some sort or the road was closed off for some reason; it was a slightly entertaining detour to say the least.

Road is getting resurfaced so the 902 is being diverted.

I can't find a list so I'll just ask about specific services. Can anyone tell me who operates and which type of vehicles usually operate the following services? All are M92 from Edinburgh to Aberdeen.

• 0820 (via Dundee)
• 0920 (via Dundee, Forfar)
• 1020 (via Dundee)
• 1045 (via Edinburgh Airport)
• 1120 (via Dundee)

And, out of interest, the 1140 M92 Edinburgh to Dundee (non-stop) and 1330 M9 Dundee to Aberdeen?

Perth could be Panorama, Van Hool or Interdeck double deckers or Elite single deckers occasionally. Cumbernauld will be Panorama , Van Hool or Interdeck double deckers. Fishers will be Elite, Panther or Caetano Levante single deckers. ECL most likely Scania Irizar but they have a variety of coaches. It is unlikely to be the new Volvo's though. Central will be a Van Hool double decker and McLean's will be VDL Bova Futura.
