We regret there is likely to be some disruption following the hurricane force winds across Scotland due to the need to check infrastructure on some routes and the continuing challenging weather conditions.

I notice that 1M87, the 20.10 from Glasgow to London, is well over two hours down and hasn't reached Lockerbie yet. Estimated into Euston at 04.00 hock:

Presumably to make up for earlier cancelled services. Even if it wasn't two hours down it would still not get to Euston till 01.46, which is far later than VT normally run.

It's passed Lockerbie 151 down. ETA is 04.05 (much more delay and it'll become a sleeper).

At least 560 down now; it's not reached Pitlochry yet.

It was only(!) 137 down when it arrived at Blair Atholl, but it seems to have sat there for six hours... would hate to have been on that service.

Well the passengers will at least be warm (providing there is enough fuel for the diesels to idle) but they will be very hungry and very fed up!

had cause to bash 1B31 several times over the year and dont think that wil havn been any fun at all as its normally quite healthily loaded. Would not have fancied that! If per chance any member was onboard do tel us what it was like!

ScotRail Sleeper services:

The Fort William to London Euston service tonight has been cancelled Replacement transport to Glasgow cannot be provided due to road closures in the West of Scotland.
The Aberdeen to London Euston service will run but may be diverted via Stirling and, if that happens, would not call at Leuchars.
All other Caledonian Sleeper trains are expected to run tonight.

If the FW - Euston section is cancelled does that mean by 10am this morning there will be 2 sections at FW? If so how do things get back to normal? Take one section back to Euston today?

608 minutes late overall. Not the longest delay, but definitely up there with them!

1Y11 EDB-FTW is still showing as "delayed", which I suspect means "cancelled".

Remember that the lounge and seated coaches of the Fort William portion stay overnight in Edinburgh to get picked up by the northbound service, so even if there were a couple of reserve sleeper coaches at Wembley, they'd still be without half the train. And then even running short-formed, there would be two extra sleeper coaches in Fort William that would need to get to (at the very least) Inverness.

All-in-all, it's probably easier just to cancel the Fort William portion.
