Thanks! Will the 385s be first used to completely change the E-G via Falkirk line to 385 operation first and then over to the Croy line or will they be introduced simultaneously? Have any test 385s run on the Croy line?
Can't. quite see where you're coming from there.

Croy is a stop on the Glasgow/Edinburgh line which currently has cascaded electric 380s. These will be changed to 385s probably in March.
The only other trains which call at Croy are stopping services to Falkirk Grahamston/ Stirling/Dunblane/Alloa. Currently being electrified and due to go electric in 2019.

What do you mean? The E-G line via Falkirk High runs on past Croy to QS. That's live and in use. The route via Grahamston and Cumbernauld is not yet live between Polmont junction and Cumbernauld. It's part of phase 2 which includes Stirling, Dunblane and Alloa.

Does anyone know at what rate Aycliffe is expecting to deliver more 385 sets?

Will be interesting how long the 170s last when the 385s come in on the route?

They'll be moved off the route as soon as the 385s are ready. Probably cascaded elsewhere in May 18 TT.

Are Hitachi now likely to be triggering compensation payments to Scotrail for late delivery? Or is there some blame attributable to Scotrail for changing specifications that contributed to the delay?

In an earlier post there was a report that their curvature was causing double images, so that a single yellow was being seen as a double.

Are the three paths for three units? If so, good news.

I thought I'd read that the curve towards the top had flagged up issues with single yellows looking to the driver like a double during the early tests.

Thanks James :)

Anyone have any updates on how many units are complete?

These are only my sightings, but I have observed 014, 016, 031, 033, 122, 123, 124. all fully complete and in Full scotrail livery.

I have also seen 004,005, 006 007, 008, 009 and 010 outside in the yard at Hitachi all looking complete internally (seats in etc), but some had doors and marker lights missing. Sometimes these were only outside for an hour or two before being shunted back inside the factory.
