Routes for BVE4

Can anyone recommend any good British routes, and where I can get them?

From that site do I download the Route, Sound and Object files? And what do I do with them when I download them, I'm brand new to BVE

Read the BVE4 beginner's Guide, though I would strongly recommend you look into using openBVE

That midland route is really good, but only one problem, when I'm driving a class 37, a red light on the left of the screen, lights up and the loco grinds to a halt, what's causing this and what fixes it and allows me to continue?

You need to press these....

Insert - AWS reset Auto Warning System warns of signals at approach/danger (Yellow or Red)

Delete - TPWS Reset Keeps you alert and makes sure you have not fell asleep!

Also speeding and passing a signal at danger will bang that red light on and the emergency brakes will be applied!


You only have a few seconds to respond to these warnings!

Cool, thanks, that should do it, the weird thing was, that the signal before was green and the one that slammed on the brakes was a double yellow

To put it very simply, driver holds pedal on floor with foot. It beeps if it detects no movement of controls for a certain amount of time and the driver must remove and then replace his foot within a certain amount of time otherwise the train will stop.

It's not TPWS - it's the DSD "Driver's Safety Device", the vigilence alarm or, to you and me, the dead man's pedal.

Just some advice for BVE: Get a good route you really like, then choose some stock. Learn how to handle the train and then concentrate on the route, learn the location of stations, whistle boards and signals. The best way to do this is by doing lots of similar runs on stock you can handle well. Start off with InterCity services, and when you've got route knowledge, move on to semi fasts, then stoppers
