I tried yesterday to book a two sleeper berths for the down Riviera on 20/9. Checking online gave some strange results:
But it made me curious as to why only a Solo berth is offered - I thought the berths were made up according to the numbers sold? Seems silly that I can't book a cabin for two but someone travelling alone could book exactly the same cabin! Also was I just unlucky with the timing or is the online system usually so hopeless?
- From Reading, solo occupancy was offered (2 adults with 2GETH) but not twin;
- From London, both solo and twin were offered, but if selected the booking would stall at the next step claiming no availability;
- From London only, a £169 Twin Advance was offered. Selecting it showed "last 2 at this price" but again failed when trying to proceed.
