it is no different to the Bescot - Bescot via Euston, Maccelsfield & Bedford one round here. They tend to run the whole diagram so must need several drivers & sprayer operatives
I wouldn't be surprised if the crew changes on that path are done at Cardiff Central and Newport, which would mean 3 drivers. Not sure what the rules are on the RHTT operators shift length, but I suspect there's at least 2 of them.
How is route knowledge done for NR drivers, given the sheer percentage of the network the NMT frequently covers? Are they just conducted around most of the country?
