I've heard of some through-ticketing schemes, the K&WVR being one, but I wish they'd take it a bit further. I'd like to see preserved lines appearing in the National Rail Timetable and on the website, also on maps. You could also have through ticketing both ways (keep a portable ticket machine hidden behind the counter in the booking office so as not to spoil the atmosphere). Perhaps the occasional TOC-worked through service as well, such as a Swanage-Waterloo commuter run, propelled by a 73 as far as the junction as well as incoming railtours and things such as the NYMR Whitby service.
