Another productive few days Brian :)

It's not been too bad, considering that I only start cranking from noon onwards normally.

But that is nothing compared to your efforts. :)

Bad luck in the past I would say! You're only 8 GN 313s behind me, and that's after I had a massive session on clearing them out last month. You think Kings Cross to Stevenage is bad, you want to see how boring Finsbury Park to Harringay and also to Drayton Park gets! ;)

I see you're building the suspense on what you have planned next, certainly I await the read eagerly!

Aye it's all swings and roundabouts I suppose. Monday *should* be more productive in terms of filling the books, but that's a whole other story!

I was thinking about going out tomorrow and Saturday but I'm not too sure as the last two days I have been clearing out my Mum's back garden, hence the wait for my second trip report and just completed my first walk after my incident on a walk at the end of February and I now need to nip in to work for a few hours tomorrow so I'm thinking of a quite Saturday at home with some catching up and on the Sunday a quiet morning before attending an organised city walk around Manchester visiting a few watering holes....

But my next trip is now scheduled for next Monday and is another over night stay in Exeter to try and get the few remaining 143's that I need of Great Western.

Need to plan an London Overground trip as I hardly have anything of theirs.

Fair games, and good to hear of the successful completion of the first walk after the injury to your foot, that must have been most satisfying!

Anyway we're heading way off-topic here now. bb21 is making me jealous of such a good haul, I might be having similar luck next month. Certainly will do when I have an entirely London-focused bash again, currently lined up for July.

A new loco for me today:
6960 Raveningham Hall at the Great Central Railway.

Also scored a DMU centre car, 59575, even though it's unpowered it counts in my book (providing it's not being used as hauled stock) like all other Heritage DMUs! It was really good to see this unique vehicle restored and back in action, I remember seeing it in MC Metals scrapyard in a rather forlorn state about 20 years ago.

Unpowered?!

Hmm, let me dig out what you said about driving vans a while back.

Main focus of today was scoring stations, although no 313s on the Seafords (double 377s due to football I can only assume, although nice to score another 377/3, those things pop up anywhere)

My congratulations on clearing the XC Voyagers at last, welcome to the club! :D

Will I have a good turnout to post in this thread tomorrow night? I'm rather hoping so, I'm aiming to have the details all posted by 1725 and no later tomorrow, with the trip report following suit.

Wish me luck all, I'm going to need it for #techsgoinginblind

Congrats 37038 on clearing the Voyagers. I've been deliberately avoiding them but I'm off to Exeter tomorrow so unless I go via London I am going to have to bite the bullet and suffer :(

But the aim is to clear the 143's down there, need to keep my eye on the target .

1550 37605/37059 Okehampton-Crewe 281.47 miles

Tour Mileage was 546.03 miles
All three locos were winners for haulage
There was a change to the tour routing. FGW would not allow the train to go through St Phillips Marsh Depot, so credit to Network Rail we were sent down the freight line from Bristol Parkway to Hallon Marsh and on to the Severn Beach line. This was a good substitute and saved the train from sitting in Bristol Temple Meads Station for 40 minutes. The return journey was along the Southern route to Yeovil, and then taking the rarely used connection between Junction and Pen Mill to return to Bristol via Westbury.

Productive day in Exeter area I assume Andy.

I need to get down that way again later in May when the summer timetable starts, to try and get my last 2 FGW 143s, and clear some additional 150s :)

Hopefully I will get the other two FGW 143's tomorrow. I've seen them both today. 143617 was parked under a tent all day at the sidings at Exeter while 143618 arrived at Exeter St Davids while I was departing on a red pen and then it went out of service.

Where did you take it to? If it were a winner for me it would be Cardiff!

Hereford to Newport for me, couldn't do Cardiff and back it back in time for work!

Congrats on getting it. After the amount of bad luck you have had recently you deserved a turn in fortune on the red pen front.

Thanks, and aye a change of fortunes was welcome! So long as I don't have the bad luck return on May's Southern DaySave all will be good!

In the meantime there's a more important decision to make and needs to be decided upon tomorrow!

Good luck getting 220010. Obviously XC end up all over the country!

My last unit was 220003. Luckily, and purely by chance, I managed to get it on a short hop between Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway after trying about two weeks to get it!
