LNER never lets me load RTT, and it’s been going on for quite a while.

I'm trying to recall what happened when I last travelled on LNER, on Monday 5th January, and was heavily delayed so definitely needed RTT! IIRC I could access the site on my phone but not on my tablet, does that make sense?

From my recent experiences access to RTT using the LNER WiFi seems hit and miss depending on the unit that you are on. The Azuma 5-car's I have been on allow access whilst the 9-car's do not. Had no problem with the Mark IV sets or the LNER station WiFi.

All of which reinforces what @Tom says about a technical fault. My own experience of LNER Wi-Fi is that it's just poor, regardless of train type

I've travelled to and from Newcastle for work twice in the last two weeks, and on all the journeys RTT worked fine on my laptop.

Does LNER onboard wi-fi block RTT and Railmiles? I can't access it using their wifi, but it's fine on my phone.

Hi David, thanks for spotting this and responding. Tom from RTT trains suggested above (post 3030) that there's a technical issue (I'm not sure where exactly) that is being looked at and (hopefully) resolved. I'll let you know if I still have problems on Friday though!

Following up from this. Firstly, is anyone still experiencing this issue with RTT not being accessible on LNER?

Secondly, we've now exhausted all avenues on our end (and our bandwidth supplier), so it's now back to the wifi supplier to research. But we're pretty sure it's now nothing in RTT's, RTT's bandwidth supplier, or LNER's direct control.

I think it's quite easy to understand why TOCs that participated in Know Your Train prior to the datafeed being made public might already have illustrations being created (or already created) as opposed to those who weren't.

Certain SE 375 and 377 services have images, some don't - and it doesn't seem to be related to specific subclasses, even. They never properly joined KYT.

The Chiltern 68s would have existed from the TPE days so only the colour scheme needed updating?

Nice to see the Chiltern 68+Mk5A set and East Midlands Railway Class 810 graphics (and maybe something else I'm forgetting), but why do the 175 graphics still not show under Great Western Railway operation? They're literally in the same white and red livery as when they were with Transport for Wales.

Probably because it's not a simple case of attaching images to web pages as you'd imagine. You seem to have a habit of nit picking when it comes to showing the graphics seeing your previous posts. I'm sure it will happen, but some things take time

It's possible that the images for the 175s were removed/disabled on withdrawal from TfW and haven't been reactivated yet - either accidentally or deliberately in expectation of repainting into GWR green. A year or two before that livery is succeeded by GWR; what a waste...

The 175s will be going straight from ex-Transport for Wales white and red to Great British Railways blue/red/white, despite there being a rendered image in Great Western Railway green.

Liveries are encoded by operator then fleet, not just fleet numbers. Primarily to make it easier to handle the same classes on different operators.

I've had no wifi problem this evening or last Friday on a 225.

I have to say something I’ve been finding KYT very useful for lately is working out which direction I’ll be facing in my booked seat on CrossCountry. As I have to travel from Manchester to Reading, Oxford and/or Worcester most weeks for work, it’s annoying not knowing whether I’ll be going forwards or backwards when I reserve, and once the allocation shows on RTT I know whether to aim in the stopping position for Coach C (where I usually book), or unreserved Coach B for an alternative seat!

Any ICMP blocking at the host? Especially on IPv6?

I can't really go into the detail any further around this than what I've written on this thread but IPv6 is not involved (RTT is v6 enabled though).
