I tried gardening today, I ran the lawnmover over the flowerbeds as that seemed easier than doing it properly.

That's good gardening. I was mowing our garden last week and went over a bit of rough ground with the grass collector not attached and the flap on the mower tied up, I hit a hidden rock which was fired out the back at great speed and hit me right on the soft bit on my knee. It was a somewhat painful lesson.

Were any rocks harmed in the making of this anecdote?

I've given up saying that I'm going to do my gardening. Whenever I say it, it rains.
I'm keeping it to myself now, keep the weather guessing <:D

Looking for fresh ideas for controlling pests and parasites. It won't be long until the children are home from university.

Didn't DaleCooper already suggest Agent Orange and or napalm for that? Seems reasonable.

Blimey! I've never before been accused of being reasonable. Good job I didn't mention the thermonuclear option.

Ugh gardening, I like to tell myself I'm helping out local wildlife by not bothering. Must be doing reasonably well as a hedgehog has been around recently

I use that option in my head but I live in a curtain twitching hamlet so feel obliged to do something with the lawn at least.

Knocked my garden shed down yesterday and today as the new one is now fully commissioned for action, fortunately I remembered to check which one was which during my pre-demolition H&S checks saving me from a spousal beating

I never played enough Sonic as a child to join in with the reference party.

I grew up on Age of Empires, Combat Flight Sim 1 and Silent Hunter. Now there was a game, launched via MS-DOS and looks like it was drawn in paint.

I've put far too much weight on since Christmas. I want to lose it, but the problem is I've been measured for a suit for a special event I'm due to attend later in the year, so I can't actually lose that much otherwise it will be too big...

Could you put the suit on a matching diet to yours?

I wish I could, but unfortunately the measurements can't be changed, so it looks like I'll have to wait until September before starting my diet properly.
