Sorry if this one offends anyone, but...

People who say things like "in a minute" and then take ages to do whatever it is they are due to do! Even if you say "in a minute" and then take five, fine; but 65?

Poor timekeeping gets my back up too. If you say you'll be there at five past that does not mean quarter past

Gets me heaved off in lectures, turning up up to 15mins late is just rude, and most of my lecturers think the same, the complaint is in the process of being delt with.

Another rant...

Railway enthusiasts that are ignorant know it alls and think they know best and better than staff. Enthusiasts that won't accept anything but a loco that's old and falling apart and class it as better when in reality its ****e and and only better in there opinion and don't think of fellow passengers.

Katie Price. Her funeral can't come any sooner and when it does it will be the first time the 21 gun salutes gone into the coffin.

People who class ferraris, porshe etc.. as 'good' cars, there not practical and there ****e.

One more from me before I go to bed:

Anagrams that aren't formed correctly. Such as the use of the word "manager" for "anegram".

People who get into a crowded lift thinking that because there's space for another person they can fit themselves plus all their bags in.

...or who insist on cramming themselves in regardless of available space, because they can't wait a minute for another lift.

Well, it depends what you want from a car. If you want to carry five people and a dog four hundred miles, then yes, they're not much cop.
If there's two of you and you need enough room for an overnight bag, then why not?

PIS displays that constantly scroll when the information provided could easily fit on the screen. Such as this morning's Turbo with "Oxford" scrolling constantly across a 30-character display.

Am I the only person that finds the words "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" a little bit awkward when applied to people over 20? (Sorry Dan...)

But ladyfriend makes her sound like a hooker?

Cyclists who ride on the pavement, particularly those who get abusive when you tell them to get off and walk.

Alas, these dingbats don't know the Law. I have learend to not bother telling them and keeping the thought to myself. An officer will see them sooner or later; I've seen someone caught on Milsom Street [that's in Bath for anyone who doesn't know] and given a real talking to...

People who seem to feel the need to tell everyone about what they are doing every moment of the day via [Insert social network here]. I don'twant to go on Facebook and see joe bloggs has set his status to [Just had a s**t] why do I need to know that?

Pedestrians who cross the road with their ears instead of their eyes

I'm guilty of that, or I walk across the road giving the two finger salute with my eyes shut. I havnt been run over... yet.

Little annoyances; when people dont answer their phones when you need to speak to them most, you know who you are!

I'm afraid I'm guilty of that

Anyway, a couple of things which annoy me:

-People who sniff incessantly. JUST BLOW YOUR F'ING NOSE!!
-Noisy eaters
-Complete strangers who sit next to you on the bus/train, decide they want a conversation with you and refuse to take the hint that you're not interested.
-people who when they speak end virtually every sentence, with 'right' or 'you know'

When you go to pick up friends/family, they know what time you're arriving, but still insist on keeping you waiting for twenty minutes while they faff around getting their shoes and coats on, then decide they need to pee....then lose their keys!! Drives me absolutely batty.

Swearing in public....nothing worse than hearing F this and F that when you are just trying to do your shopping etc.

Ok, that's got me going - sniffers on trains! I don't know why but it drives me mad.
Maybe they could have a 'no mobiles, no sniffing' sign for the quiet coaches so that I can get away from them.

Reginald Perrin made similar suggestion in a letter to BR Southern Region more than thirty years ago:

... PS: During the pollen season, Peter Cartwright's sneezing is rather
offensive to those of us who, like myself, are allergic to sneezing. Today
he blew his nose on the Greater Manchester Development Plan supplement,
which is of sound enough environmental comment, but not a pretty sight.
Why don't you divide your carriages into 'sneezers' and 'non-sneezers'?

One of the most annoying thing is an appointment made for a workman to call and the firm involved says they cannot give a time as it is an "all-day appointment between 0900 and 1700"......you wait in all day....no-one rings you....and the workman does not even arrive..<(<(<(

And of course, the moment you go out for 5 minutes to get something, that's the time they arrive, and then leave because you're not there.

I have a NASTY example of this that I will probably never forgive my mother for. If not for this, my career prospects may well have been far greater than at present.

A few years ago my family and I were watching Countdown, and afterwards an advert came up asking people with a mathematical gift to attempt a challenge on the Channel 4 website. Being inclined in this way, and hoping to prove to the world (or at least the United Kingdom anyway) this ability, I logged on and completed the task to hand.

The next day, roughly 24 hours after the request was put out, the phone rang. It was the producers advising me that I was in the top 150 to have attempted the test! (By population, this suggests a 1-in-400,000 chance, or 250% of the population of Southend and roughly equal it, its urban area, Canvey Island and Basildon combined.) After a lengthy discussion they suggested that they would like to meet me, and would send a camera to Shoeburyness the next day. They said they would call back later that day to confirm the plan.

Meanwhile, my mother had become very impressed with me (for once <(), and requested that she tell her sister about it. I was given no choice but to reluctantly accept this, and told her to be two minutes only. Twenty minutes would then pass before she hung up - and the producers had called after eight. And with that, my chance had gone.

<(<(<(<(<(

And that leads me to another frustration: Gossip! If you need to do it, fine - but not when it gets in the way of something important! And if you are told to be finished within a set timescale, abide by it! <( Never again have or will I allow(ed) my mother this luxury - and sometimes, as with my BBC thread a few days ago, I now refuse to even advise her of such proposals. She will not be given the chance to ruin an opportunity like that ever again.

I've always been the same... The car of my dreams are: Vauxhall Vectra VXR, high performance Vauxhall Omega, Volvo V70s, and Ford Mondeo RS.

Back on topic...

Vauxhall Vectra VXR

You chav

high performance Vauxhall Omega

There never really was a high performance Omega as such, the bigger V6s were just fairly fast barges, really.

Volvo V70s

Good choice.

Ford Mondeo RS.

No such car. The nearest would be the old ST220.

Have fun trying to run one if you're ever actually able to insure any of them though :D
