With regards the Esk Valley Line, the route is wholly within North Yorkshire. Cleveland was abolished in 1996 and areas immediately south of the Tees were restored to Yorkshire for 'cultural and ceremonial' purposes. I thought I'd mention that to avoid any obvious confusion.

Glasgow Trains, the next planned project from Renaissance Trains. Due to start this year. Doubt it, but I hope it does come to fruition. They're no longer going to split at Preston, but will run to Nottingham via Leeds and the Settle&Carlisle line apparently.
