Correct. The tram to Stony Stratford (Deanshanger for a while) and the branch line to Newport Pagnell with a started but never completed extension to Olney. Old OS maps show earthworks around Emberton

No, the GWR and Southern lines were separate.
No that still exists now. The section in question is no longer quadruple track.

Glasgow is about the same Longtitude as Plymouth, so somewere, i'm guessing, in the vicinity of the Glaswegian city?
I just noticed this and don't even know all the details of the historic network in Glasgow so the question is now where was the most westerly section of quadruple track in England?

As we are talking mainland only, I was half-tempted by the North Wales Coast, but in England I'll have a stab at a stretch of the old Blackpool Branch.
