A clue. A number of other stations opened the very same year (if not the exact same date) on the same section of CLC line, including Flixton, Irlam, Glazebrook and Warrington Central.

Of the many class 87s that were exported for further use, there is something about three of them which distinguishes them from the remainder of the exported class 87 fleet, but a small number of the exported class 86s share the same feature.

What is that feature?
