That would be Train of Events.
It would indeed. Your turn at the regulator....just watch out for overturned oil tanker trucks on level crossings! That would be Train of Events.
Well,Runaway Railway but I knew what you meant. One of its child stars Roberta Tovey would also later appear with Ronnie Barker in an episode of Going Straight. Is it Railway Runaway ?
No too far southBarry to Weston-super-Mare
NopeCaldicot to Clevedon?
Not this eitherPenrhos Junction to Avonmouth?
London? Every company seems to have wanted to go there.
Given their location (and the obvious desire to avoid the immediate neighbour of the GWR) I'd guess the Midland, sneaking westwards via Caerphilly. But I've no idea where they'd aim to park a line over the border, other a vague awareness of the Midland route from Bristol to Birmingham. That was ultimate aim, but they planned to link to another companies line to get there, so you are thinking along the right lines (or should that be tracks not lines), so I would accept either where junction was planned or which company

Wasn’t Midland Railway
You are not thinking far enough
Time for another clue. It would have headed Eastwards having crossed a very long bridge where the M48 bridge now is, and the proposals were withdrawn when the GWR decided to build its Filton-Swindon line
At a pretty wild guess, then -- reaching from the west, a point somewhere between Portskewett and Chepstow (whether over GWR metals, or by a new line from somewhere on the Barry system, to that point); long bridge built to approximately Aust; then new line generally south-eastward from there, to join GWR London -- Bristol line at or near Chippenham?
ETA: or Aust -- Malmesbury, joining the GWR system there? Before the days of the "Badminton cut-off", the Malmesbury branch's main-line junction was with the London -- Bristol line at Dauntsey.
You have roughly got the first part, north of Newport, then crossing near Aust / Bleachley, through Malmesbury, but it avoided the GWR
The proposed line (which was obviously for coal) was to continue via Lechlade and onwards almost due East towards the Chilterns to join the Metropolitan at Great Missenden.
It was abandoned once GWR decided to build the Badminton cut off rather than use the congested route through Bath
All yours
0-8-0 is correct. Your floor0-8-0, built for Sweden. (An earlier 0-8-0 may have been built in 1847 by Grylls & Co. for the Monmouthshire Railway.)
No. Read the question again. (Do I hear the metallic sound of skean dhus and claymores being sharpened north of the border?)Was it the "Jones Goods" built (I think) for the GNoSR?
