On the back of the book is a photo of one of the greatest LNER loco types at one of the greatest locations, please identify both.

On the front and back covers of 'Narrow Gauge Railways, England and the fifteen-inch' by Humphrey Household appears a locomotive operating at the wrong end of the country, if its name is anything to go by, which engine?

I have been worried about making questions too easy. Or too hard, so I included clues

The last question relates to two 15" gauge railways, one near the "bottom" of England and one near the "top". Going by the name, it should be at the latter.

Correct! One would have expected to find it at Ravenglass, but it has only been there to visit.

One question is still open. On the back cover of the book 'A Hundred Years of Railway Weighells' there is a photo of one of the most complicated and beautiful junctions on the LNER, being traversed by perhaps the greatest type of engine designed by Sir Nigel Gresley.

Please name location and type of engine.

Yes it was a centre panel 37.

In the early 80s there were four Class 37s allocated to Gateshead in the 372xx number range. This was one of them.

Well it wasn't 37212. It wasn't 37242. And it wasn't 37250, although 250 is preserved.
