The Kent coast electrification 1959 added 12 more yards
Angerstein wharf, Betteshanger collier, Bricklayers Arms, Deal, Dover Town, Faversham, Hither Green goods, Hoo Junction, Maidstone West, Plumstead, Sittingborne, Snowdown Colliery.

2 answers were not found : Balcombe and Deal (not places that people think of these days for freight on rail)

The overhead was all disused by mid 1970s and removal followed.

What were the five terminal stations of which recent GWR commemorative train, and what was it called?

I'm a little surprised that no-one has offered any suggestions about this one, although it does occur to me that (like myself) many people haven't heard about it!

Anyway, the venture was part of GWR's contribution to a fund set up in memory of a recently deceased centurion who inspired many of us last year. It's probably also an exaggeration to discuss it as a "commemorative train", as these were normal services.

It was the Captain Sir Tom Moore 100 Challenge, and involved four journeys over a couple of days from and to Paddington. The destinations were Penzance, Swansea, Hereford and Bristol Temple Meads.
