Quite right,I wonder what happened to the nameplates?OK then:
D6703
D6704
D6707
Close, but not quite.372xx at a guess 37210
Even closer!Let’s go for 37215 then - a guess but 372xx I am certain about.
Yes, you've got it. Repainted into green at the time too.Well I am going to go for 37216 - if I dont get that right I will nudge up and down till I get there
73142 was the EDL which worked the ECS into Waterloo.I dont know the numbers but thought 3 were involved and subsequently named appropriately. Class 73 later named Broadlands which hauled the ecs to London and then two class 33's later named Earl Mountbatten of Burma and Burma Star took the train to Romsey.
Both the above gents have got the correct answer - 33027 & 33056 were the loco's involved and afterwards had plates
fitted on 1st & 16th September respectively
Therefore can I ask you gents to decide between you who asks the next question please
Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer's wedding - taking them on honeymoon?OK easy one on the same theme. The ED 73142 used for the ecs became (or already was) the preferred Royal/posh loco on the southern. Two years after the funeral train, it hauled what was locally known down here as the 'Have it Away Day' although I believe that term had been used previously. What was the occasion

I have had that beast for haulage on more than 1 occasion.Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer's wedding - taking them on honeymoon?
And here is the loco in question...
