The Northern line, even?
Did you know that, given an infinite amount of time, an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters would eventually get the answer to this question?
Monkeys? You must be going bananas!Did you know that, given an infinite amount of time, an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters would eventually get the answer to this question?
Might VKC 1553 be on the Victoria line, running from Victoria station through Kings Cross?
Not that I'd have a clue where on the line signal 1553 would be.
Close enough to get it, I think... Southbound running tunnel in direction of normal travel - located at tunnel mouth at Kings Cross
Your floor
What was "Doctor" Tyer's prescription for the railways?
Take two Asprin and call me in the morning
No, but he did help stop a major headache for railway operators...
Edit: and passengers too.
Withdrew WCRC's permission to operate trains
What was "Doctor" Tyer's prescription for the railways?
Would this be a reference to Tyre's Tablet? Although far from foolproof (as demonstrated by the terrible head-on collision at Abermule in 1921), it was a system of interlocking at either end of a single track section that meant only one single track staff (or 'tablet') could be withdrawn from the machine and given to a driver as authority to proceed.
(Open Floor if correct.)

I am standing at signal VKC 1553 - where am I?

Which scrapyard gives rise to the "Train Tetris" or "Train Pyramid" meme?

Given that they stacked stock up.
What is special* about 483 007 on the Isle of Wight?
*By which I mean - it has a claim to fame that the rest of the surviving fleet don't.
No; the answer relates to the final years on 1938 Stock. There is something about that specific unit.
Last one in use on 19 May 1988
Nice try, but as they are still in use, just not in London....
OK, I think a clue is needed. There was something special about this unit for the last couple of years of it's life on the Bakerloo Line prior to it being one of the five resurrected for short term Northern Line use.
