That's good enough, just the seats actually. APT-E trailer car (TC1) contained a VIP suite,the seats fitted allegedly came from a Blue Pullman unit and were installed at Derby when the E train was being fitted out.

Since setting this question I have seen a shot of this interior,but to me those seats look more like the seats fitted in mk2 Manchester pullman stock and also the earlier mk2 First Open vehicles, like I said above, didn't find this until later.

Was this theN&W steam turbine loco 'Jawn Henry'? Given the odd Whyte notification as the turbine powered individual axles on bogies rather than the direct gearing on such locos as the LMS turbo motive.
If this is incorrect I'll go for a four truck Shay. The Whyte notification being because the type was geared and the driving wheels not coupled as per a conventional railway.

Obviously no coupling rods involved but on reflection that doesn't necessarily involve all axles powered. Can't think of anything other than a geared or turbine loco that fits the bill though.

A four truck Shay has sixteen wheel all driven but you've discounted that one so I return to a turbine loco but obviously not the Jawn Henry as that's been discounted too. I was going to nominate Westinghouse no.4000, the Blue Goose, but IIRC that was a gas turbine, not a steam turbine.

Since no one has it - the loco concerned was the N.Z Johnston 16 wheeler. It resembled a 4 truck Shay but had jack shafts from a single V-twin down the centre. Open floor.
