Crikey, you're right although I wasn't aware anything that recent had Oerlikon motors! The answer I was looking for was in fact the Class Z5300 in Paris, of which a few still survive although they have only about a year left now.

Welshman is more or less correct, it's Selby Swing Bridge to Ferriby, over 20 miles.

But another long section is Wigan South Junction to Morecambe South Junction, 38 miles with barely a kink.

Guinness Book of Rail Facts & Feats says it's Gilberdyke Junction to a point just East of Selby, 18 miles.
