Edit: Having checked, the 09s are still shown as design speed 27mph / max speed 27mph, so the question is still in play.

I think 37057 and 37051 were early recipients of EWS livery.

As for the return journey - being a 37 tour the buffet NOT running out of beer would be unusual

Think it's time to move on to another question.

So here's the answers.

37051 & 37057 were the two 37s painted into EWS livery.

The tour was The Class 37 Group's "Settle Syphons" in 1996, the tour was also worked by a wonderful, but tatty pairing of 37058/37059.

And 051 & 057 managed to do 100mph plus for the majority of the return journey South of York.

So, Open Floor!
