You've done all the hard work, so i'll give it to you. What I wanted was the fact that between Walsall and Wolverhampton they ran over each other's lines rather than their own. [ And yes they did pass through Walsall in opposite directions ]

Correct on location - not quite the reasoning I was after however. After a period of time (2 or 3 days IIRC) it was realised that no fresh air was entering the scene since the passage of trains provided this so a single train ran empty back and forth into Moorgate on the other line.
