Apart from the Isle of Wight I will also consider the county of
"The Borders"
the only railway being the stock of the Waverley Railway Heritage Association at Whitrope.

Not including LU, DLR, LO or preserved/tourist lines how many terminus railway stations are within London Zones 1-6 & name them. They need to be stations where all trains terminate there e.g not London Bridge.

What is the distance, to the nearest mile, between the two consecutive stations that are furthest apart on the same line in mainland Britain and which two stations are they?

Shrewsbury Prison [now closed, I think], was adjacent the railway station, and I think there was an earlier prison on what is now the railway station site.

EDIT:-Ah, I now note Buttsy's reply and your affirmation of its correctness, and so withdraw my suggestion above.

If you were to travel from Fishguard Harbour to Thurso (not via London), thereby travelling through Wales, England and Scotland, what is the fewest changes you could do this in & where would you have to change? Also, what is the the quickest you could do this (to the nearest 30 mins), how many changes would be required and where?
