During the 1950's, several of the then new BR Standard Class locomotives were built to an unusual design that incorporated a separate boiler underneath the normal boiler and also a side mounted chimney.
What was the name of the partly built station between Chadwell Heath and Romford. Work started on its construction in early 1900 but was abandoned later that year after the platforms were built. The construction work was subsequently demolished and there are no remains of it today.
