Yes, that's what I was looking for, a V2 took a train originally scheduled to be 21 coaches, but upon seeing that those on the platform would not all fit on, another 5 coaches were attached, and the V2 lost only 9 Minutes on it's schedule from Newcastle to Kings Cross, where those it the back coaches would have been stopped in the tunnels...

I'm almost certain it was the tender, which I believe had a corridor, so it's in York and usually runs behind Flying Scotsman (I think)

Might be Haddiscoe? From the present station, if you look in one direction, you can see the arches and supports from a bridge for the old line.

It is indeed Haddiscoe. At the Lowestoft end there are the remains of the overbridge with a lovely LNER stamp on it plus earthworks, remains of a signal box and remains of a swing bridge, plus the remains of the 'rest' of the current Haddiscoe station.
