Back during the Wartime period, trains were few and far between and as a result were often heavy, but in terms of the number of carriages what was the heaviest train pulled?
I think these were in the realm of troops trains on the LNER. Going by that I've got a 26 coach train behind a V2 at about 850 tonnes.
Keeping it in the LNER area. Which part of the LNER W1/Hush Hush is preserved and where is it?
LE Greys got the main part first about the tender, so, over to him for the next question.
I'm guessing 8F, 28/38xx and possibly WD/LNER Dub Dees.
O4 and 72xx?
Right, I knew I'd seen something about it recently which I've now found, O1 and a WD 2-10-0.

As the question asks about the UK rather than Great Britain:
North: Thurso
East: Lowestoft
South: Penzance
West: Londonderry.
Appledore (I think it was 34102)
I think 34100 was originally named Appledore after the place in Devon but of course there is an Appledore in Kent.
My answer to the most Easterly location would be 34070 Manston
