In BR days which station was allocated to three different regions ?. That is to say it was originally allocated to the first one but was then changed twice to two other different regions.

The regions for this purpose to be -Eastern, London Midland, Scottish, Southern and Western. Exclude North Eastern Region and exclude the Business Sectors such as Inter City, Regional, NSE, etc.

(I am only aware of one but I am open to correction if someone can think of another!)

I think Banbury has possibilities as Eastern, Midland and Western all met there at one point...

Aylesbury? (Originally Eastern, as is was part of LNER, then switched to Western when the GCML closed, then to London Midland with the rest of the Chiltern routes?)

It was not the answer I was looking for .. BUT
I am unsure myself of Aylesbury -
I agree it was Eastern until around 1958 with the GC line.
I thought it then changed to London Midland as photos I have seen taken around 1960 display LM maroon signs.
Can you confirm it was part of Western Region because I thought the regional boundary with the WR was south of the station on the Princes Risborough branch.
I am not saying you are wrong but just need a second opinion or confirmation.

Still cannot find any reference to Aylesbury becoming part of WR.

I will leave it open for further answers, information or contributions.

Marylebone? The same sort of history:
ER on nationalisation as ex LNER
Transferred to LMR as part of the closure of the GCR as a through route.
Subsequently transferred to the WR.

As far as I my research goes I would agree with you. My research show ER until 1950 then Western Region (with the route to South Ruislip, etc) then later LMR.

The answer I was thinking of was Kensington Olympia which was WR, LMR and Southern.

Your turn....

What is the name of the worlds first purpose built railway tunnel, and which railway was it built for?

Was it the Stoddart Tunnel at Chapel-en-le-Frith, built in 1796?
Part of the Peak Forest Tramway from Doveholes to Bugsworth Canal Basin.
Wagons were pulled through by horsepower.

Liverpool and Manchester was the first passenger railway built in 1829

There must have been some older examples in and around mines centuries ago. Not that I would be able to name any, mind.
