No. Although several locations were looked at before constructing the railway on the Romney Marsh none, as far as I am aware, were in Rutland. Also 1915 was the year that the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway was converted to 15" which may have been what you were thinking of.

Sticking further with Rutland -- as at around the mid-20th century: with the way things in Britain had long been tending re matters of rural transport, many rural rail routes and country stations had already by then been closed, at least as regards passenger services. Re this situation, Rutland remained unscathed -- with no passenger station in the county as at "rail peak", having closed -- until surprisingly late in the day. This "run of good luck" ended with two stations in Rutland closing to passengers, simultaneously. Please name them; and in which year did it happen?

Both of you gentlemen are right, as regards the line concerned; but not right in every respect. @Gloster: you've got the line-closure year right; but stations-wise, no -- Essendine and Ryhall were the stations involved, in Rutland: Stamford is in Lincolnshire; and the Essendine -- Stamford branch's Stamford East terminus was abandoned in 1957: branch trains ran subsequently to and from Stamford (Town) station -- on the Midland line, still in traffic today.

@Peterthegreat: you have rightly, the stations concerned; and the line, although (as per above) by the time of closure it was no longer literally the Stamford East branch. You're not quite right with the year of closure: branch and stations closed w.e.f. 15 / 6 / 1959. However, I'll give it you -- @Gloster, with your having answered first: if you'd named Essendine and Ryhall, you'd have got the nod.
