Not sure about the short timescale, but Penzance and Wick on passenger services is correct. It had a spell on loan in the West Country to cover a shortage of units.

37025 has worked to Wick and assisted a broken HST to Penzance in about 1997, whilst various beasties have visited both if charters/specials are included.

I suspect rather a lot of 37s have managed it over their lifetimes. A Carnforth 47 managed it fairly recently.

Yes, it blew up at Edgeley Jn I believe, I think it was at that point booked to work through to New St due to unavailability / failure of a 47, as was fairly common at the time. It was the scene of the famous "Does anybody have a spanner?" guard announcement I understand.

The name was spelt incorrectly and later changed.
I may have got it back to front - it may have been an added N. If that's the case.
