I was thinking when i read the last question, "how on earth can you steal a railway station" then I read the wiki and thought, technically yes he did steal it. Interesting to add though that the verdict was not- Guilty as the court decided he had been duped.

Forgive my 'butting in', feel free to interupt if I'm stealing anyone's go! And I hope this hasn't been offered before, I didn't read every page I must confess.... Anyhow, here goes -

Aside from emergency signals and white lights identifying the emergency telehphones/refuges, what other colour lights would you find within the Severn Tunnel, and what is their purpose?

And the WCML is controlled by three electric control rooms where are they, and what area does each cover?

IIRC, I think the Power Control Room for the Woodhead route was at Penistone station.

And I think the control rooms for the West Coast Main line are at Glasgow Cathcart, controlling as far as Tebay; Crewe and Rugby - although I've no idea where the boundary between the Crewe and Rugby centres is.

You are correct, the boundary between Crewe and Rugby is at Nuneaton and Rickerscote.

Would that be Stanley near Leeds?

Would that be the Rhubarb Loop, more commonly known as the Dr. Day's Curve in Bristol I believe the nickname derived from the allotments adjacent to the curve. No, I don't sign it, in fact it is required track.

That is indeed where I had in mind. Many who do sign it have never been over it, very spartan service train use indeed!

Did you travel on the Filton - Westbury(?) or whatever it is afternoon shuttle that uses it? Or were you on something more exotic?

'Twas in the days of the reverse - Westbury to Parkway. I travelled end-to-end on it.

Neyland is correct.

Brunel intended it to be the end of the GWR and a port for shipping of passengers and goods to Ireland.

Apparently a bronze stature of him in the town square was stolen by metal thieves in 2010.

That is one of the high numbered Scotish ones. I'm going to go for providing the traction to move (careful wording as there are locos and units involved) member(s) of the Royal family within Scotland.

Not really a branch line, but I'll try Bulwell. I believe there is an early morning through service to Norwich. If it's wrong I think I lose a point for the branch line bit, so this is a gamble.
