Indeed. As with BR at the end, Intercity, Regional, NSE etc was perfect. Thats the kind of lines I'd be looking at, so an Intercity service in Plymouth is branded the same as an Intercity service in Glasgow , and a branch line train in Cornwall is branded the same as one on a branch line in Yorkshire.That probably depends on whether you consider the railways in Britain to be a single brand, or a confederation of brands.
For me, an intercity train from London to Edinburgh is providing a different sort of service to a suburban metro train in southeast London, or a rural line in Cornwall. Why should they not have different branding to reflect this?
