IS Virgin still using the 90/Mk3 Combo on the WCML?

If so does anyone know when it is running - I fancy a change to the VomComs if at all possible!

Just wait until December and you'll be able to have a shot on a 67+Mk3s on the Marylebone to Moor Street runs.

90036 out today on:
0703 Euston - BHM
0850 BHM - Euston
1043 Euston - BHM
1230 BHM - Euston
then the usual:
1846 Euston - Preston.

If it comes out to play that is the usual turn it appears on, starting with the 0703 from Euston.

Although if it is out then Monday-Thursday it usually does the 1903 EUS-BHM instead of the Friday Only EUS-PRE?

Yeah, how dare they keep all the Pendolinos running and spoil enthusiasts fun

actually don't mind the pendos tbh! quite nice really, do the job etc just fancied a change!

Would love to have a ride back up to Norwich and then on to Great Yarmouth where i used to live - not sure about a trip on a cold november day. A nice 90 trip eastwards would be fun - If i could get a drag to GY =more fun!

Best route home would be MK-Euxton-KX-Darlo but tickets are always not London so it is brum or manc land for me!

Your going to have to wait for the summer to get a drag to GY :) But must admit, if I didn't live quite so far away I would be tempted to do that trip, just for a change of scenery/traction.

Could anyone enlighten me on the calling points for the FO 1P05 please? I just tried the NRE website but - presumably because it's a relief - it denies the existence of any FO 1846 from EUS to Preston.

Pretendolino was in Liverpool on Sunday.

My guess is it operated an additional service to bring Chelsea fans (or players?) to Liverpool for the match

Pendolinos are fun!

Hear hear! One of my favourite journeys of this year was taking a Pendolino for the first time between Glasgow and Preston, great fun tilting through the countryside north of Carlisle.

It shows up if you tick 'include slower trains'.

It gets overtaken by the 1930, so it would be a bit daft to display it for a Euston to Preston query...

Pretendolino has been running a bit more lately as we keep putting major flats on a lot of 390 sets & it seemed to be covering a set a day last week as they recieved lathe attention. However less slippy this week (although 390011 I had tonight was fubared in the A end with wheel flats). BTW there is a staff cash incentive scheme at the moment that rewards staff for selling a charter using the Pretendolino, so if you fancy lining my pockets then group together, talk to me & hire it!! :D

Oh & I feel bad for 33056 with the travel sickness, real shame as 390's are awesome fun especially up front. I even have a list of my fav curves now. Linslade down fast to Stoke Hammond being one of them & it never fails to make me smile hitting Rugby south flyover on the down main at 125mph with the tilt bottomed out.

On another note, how many people just like moaning. I had some stupid bint having ago at me at Euston, talking about tilting trains upsetting her stomach & making her feel ill after arriving on a southbound service I worked the other day. I just stood there & listened to her talk crap... Why crap? well my 390 (044) had been TASS isolated from the start so no EPS speeds & no tilt at all bar the cant.

I thought berko on the down fast was quiet good, along with wolverton.
