There used to be a nice café at the end of the platform at Worcester Foregate Street - ideal for having breakfast and watching the trains go past.

BBC have some funny ideas sometimes! Why would anybody want to linger at Melton just because it has a butcher's shop on site? Even if I wanted some meat I wouldn't have any desire to linger there, particularly when Woodbridge is just a short distance away and has a lovely view of the boat yards and estuary. And as for Frimley....???? I'd find n lazy hour or two on a Sunday afternoon at Bewdley or Horsted Keynes therapeutic. Also Tynemouth and Whitley Bay on the Tyne and Wear metro are well worth a visit.

Harold Wood....the aroma from the Indian takeaway on platform 4
can get somewhat alluring when alighting following a skinful up town...

Lelant Saltings.
Sorry but the "saltings" Station has been an eyesore ever since it was constructed.

Now Lelant is a place to linger especially when the Hayle Estuary tide is in. Of Course I'm biased. It was my home station. Now sadly very underused.

St Erth is well worth the time to idle an hour or so, especially with the café. Yes there is no pub, but do you really need to have one to wait an hour or so?

I quite enjoyed my 1hr explore of Wemyss Bay. Station architecture looks fantastic, a nice cafe to wait at, with ferries and a rocky beach right next door.

Ah now yes! I was thinking earlier today about lines I had only covered once and would like to cover again, and your posting of Wymess Bay brought back the idea of a re-visit.

Indeed, I would love to go there with the time to spend a couple of hours there before a ferry ride and back maybe a day later and another explore?

Melancolia, I think you may have the precise posting in this topic.

If I visit Wymess Bay, would you return the favour and visit Lelant?

I've been through there to covee the track, however visiting stations I'll leave to 2018. If you say so, I'll give Lelant a visit, when it warms up in the summer though.
