Would a Crewe to Leamington via Stoke-on-Trent, the Trent Valley route and Coventry be feasible?

Could provide connections to WCML, Crosscountry and Chiltern services, avoiding central Birmingham, whilst also providing another service to a new-build station at Kenilworth.

Difficult to cross the line at Coventry like that.

I always thought permanent Project Rio services.

Not only for some London-Manchester competition but flows between Luton/Bedford/Leicester/Derby and Stockport/Manchester might be sizeable.

It was a great way to travel from London to Manchester. HST through good scenery for last hour and if you went to the front, a coach to yourself!
