Hi guys

Hoping someone can clarify something for me.

I went for the trainee driver role with MTR but due to missing 3 blocks of 4 dots on the last page I done of the dots test I failed the enhanced level for MTR but on my certificate it says;

Group Bourdon concentration test - Met the national standard (Not MTR standard)

Trainability for rules & procedures part 1 (TRP1) - Met the national standard

Trainability for rules & procedures part 2 (TRP2) - Met the national standard

Test of everyday attention & occupational assessment (TEA-Occ) - didn't sit

Driver fault finding test (DFFT) - didn't sit

Does this mean if I went to a different TOC I would not have to do the three tests I met the national standard for and would just have to do the other two?

If not, what value does the certificate hold?

Thanks in advance.

It would depend wether the TOC you went to used the "national" standard or an "enhanced" standard.

Hi ItchyRsole.

My understanding is that it all depends on the TOC according to OCR when I took the assessments back in March. If you apply for a TOC which requires Enhanced Level Pass, you will have to do all the tests again. If it's a TOC which doesn't you should be able to just do the parts which are required. My understanding is that if you make the enhanced pass grades and you apply for a TOC which requires Enhance Grades you cannot apply within 6 months and you only have two chances to take the test forever (exceot if the tests are changed again). If you have passed national level you are exempt from the 6 month freeze but again depends on the TOC.

Someone out there may have better knowledge than me :D

I believe mate it depends on the Toc some others including gtr take enhanced some do not, and also if you re try for advanced and fail to even national then your national is wiped off and a strike gone

Some TOCs have different levels of enhanced scoring, my enhanced pass for the GB test wasn't enough for MTR but was good enough for GTR, GA and Chiltern.

Thanks guys.

Anyone know out of interest which TOCS require the enhanced pass and which national?

I actually only ever heard of MTR having the enhanced pass marker.
