I've also caught a 142 on a Preston service from Piccadilly, but that's something that's likely to be a thing of the past soon as class 319s are introduced to the route.

A few months back I did get a 319 Preston-Piccadilly, and a 156 on the way back Piccadilly-Preston. But you're saying it could have been the 142 I was hoping for...? (having never been on a Pacer - I'll probably just end up trying one of the Welsh ones from Cardiff to one of the Valleys towns and straight back!)
