I mentioned some time ago the driveway with the Bentley and the Mercedes 350 convertible, i thought it also had a Jensen Interceptor though it was under a tarpaulin so couldn't tell for sure. I can happily say the tarpaulin was briefly removed the other day and confirmed it was an Interceptor, the profile is pretty unmistakable anyway!

H reg plates.

Edit: originally said B reg for some reason but saw it again this morning, H reg!

Bumper haul today, half hour drive from York to Selby on the A19 and passed
G prefix Rover 213
X suffix Audi saloon, 80 I think
J prefix Nova GTE
K prefix Citroen AX and
J prefix Sierra Sapphire
All in remarkably good condition and seemed to be heading in random directions rather than to any sort of event. I guess the sun brought them all out

This 1962 Cadillac seems to be permanent fixture outside Texas Joe's restaurant in SE London.

After walking our exhuberant and bouncy German Shepherd along Emsworth foreshore, we popped over to Hayling Island for a quick seafront drive.
This friendly Zodiac owner was enjoying fish and chips and sensibly keeping out of Easter Sunday's bracing wnd.

Seen Saturday in south Surrey, this Citroen 2CV6 "Bamboo" from August 1987.
The "Bamboo" model was a limited edition for the UK market.

A couple from me.

I popped down to Buckfastleigh the other day and there was a small classic car gathering going on. Including this rather nice Jaaaaag….

And on the more humble end of the spectrum, an Austin Allegro, pictured with an era appropriate class 25 in the background.

Unfortunately things still aren’t going well for Bulgy though…

That Allegro is a belter. Vinyl roof, headrests and even a sunroof. The front fogs look a bit after-markety, but can’t complain. And the coachwork is immaculate for a near 50 year old car!

Yesterday a Toyota fest.

Mid 80s A reg Corolla Saloon. A G reg MR2 in red and not an hour later a C reg MR2 in red!

On Monday I saw a green Rover 2000TC at Sainsbury's in Wakefield. Didn't have chance to take a photo as it was setting off just as I parked up. Nice patina on the paintwork, it was far from "concourse" condition but otherwise looked well cared for, and possibly in daily (or at least weekly) use.
Earlier today, saw a rebadged Ford version of the Mazda Bongo on a 90s reg (can't recall which letter) which was for sale in Ossett... would be slightly tempted in more prosperous times!

I like to wind up my JDM-enthusiast mate by calling the MR2 the "Mister Two".

It was not named thus in the French market.
MR2 (M R Deux), phonetically, is Em Air Der
Which was deemed a bit too close to Merde
True story.

The Brabham motor racing set up was originally (1960) called Motor Racing Developments, usually referred to as MRD. It was soon renamed for the same reason.

Sort of- MR2 is a near-homophone of emmerdé which is used an equivalent of "**** off!"

Or at least that was the first version of the tale I heard, and I'm sticking with it. There's an element of "urban myth" to the whole thing to be fair, as it seems to mostly get referenced outside of France. ;)

An immaculate T reg Volvo V70 estate passed me on the way into Doncaster yesterday morning. This morning it happened again at exactly the same roundabout. Fair to say it's in regular use I think
